Fear is a very natural human emotion which most people experience multiple times over the course of their life. Fear exists to protect us from danger and does not factually know what is dangerous or not. Fear prefers to perceive situations as dangerous even when they are not, all for the cause of staying safe.

 

When fear starts to take up too much space in our lives, it can happen that things, people and situations become frightening to us which causes us to avoid them. Do you experience panic attacks, an overall feeling of fear, or fear in specific situations? Then we might be able to help you.

During the sessions we will be working on changing your view on fear, softening the fear emotion and learning how to cope with your fear.

Every session will be adapted to your personal needs and wishes.

  • Together we will search for the cause of your fear;

  • We will change the unhelpful thoughts and beliefs;

  • You will learn how to cope with the fear emotion;

  • You will learn how to become friends with fear and yourself;

  • We will make a realistic and achievable plan to get over your fear and take concrete action; 

  • You will get a lot of handy, practical tools that will help you transform fear into a feeling of calmness and security.
